Archiving Made Easy with GFT Inboxx
GFT inboxx, unified archiving specialist enlarged its product line with a file server archiving component called ‘inboxx file’.
The new system provides improved storage utilization to file servers, allowing dead files to be cancelled and shifted onto cheaper storage media. Inboxx file can reduce file server requirements by over 50% while remaining transparent to the end user.
When a file is archived, a link is created through a small stub file. With inboxx file, stubs can be managed just like the original file, a capability that only GFT has. E-discovery are easier since all data are stored and indexed in one place, reducing network traffic and simplifying disaster recovery.
Many firms thought, archiving is very complicated because they have no idea what to do. The company plans to release inboxx voice in February 2009 , allowing call centres to archive call recordings and associated screenshots in the same unified framework.
